Communication takes place all the time and sometimes it happens without being realised. A person involves himself in communication either verbally or non-verbally. The capacity to communicate well and effectively is often related to the success of a person in adapting himself in various situations be it in personal relationships, between members of different cultures, and in one’s professional and private life. However, technological advancement changes the method of communication between people.
Based on the statement above:
Discuss the main functions of communication in this new century. What are the implications of technology on face-to-face communication among people living in the urban areas in Malaysia? Plan the effective strategy on how to improve communication skills for people living in the rural areas in Malaysia.
